Help with health anxiety
If you keep checking your body, searching symptoms, and needing someone to tell you it is all right, you already know the relief does not last. This page is about that loop of worry, not about diagnosing symptoms.

What it can feel like
- Checking your body for signs that something is wrong
- Searching symptoms online and feeling worse afterwards
- Needing reassurance that only holds for a short while
- A mind that treats ordinary sensations as danger
How I can help
We do not go through every symptom. We look at how the worry works: the checking, the searching, the reassurance that wears off. Metacognitive techniques help you step out of that loop. NLP and hypnotherapy can calm the alarm so ordinary sensations are easier to leave alone.
What sessions are like
Sessions are 90 unrushed minutes, at the home office in West Norwood (SW16, near Streatham, Tulse Hill and Dulwich) or online across the UK. A session is £135, or four for £395. A free 20-minute call comes first, and we review how things are moving as we go. How many sessions varies from person to person.
If something is new or changing in your body, please check it with your GP. I work alongside medical care, not instead of it. This work is about the worry, not a judgement on your symptoms. Checking and searching are habits, and habits can be interrupted.
In clients’ own words
“After our session I wasn’t sure what had actually happened. Then I had a doctor’s appointment, and I noticed I was actually calmer when the blood-pressure cuff appeared — and the numbers were correspondingly lower. That has given me confidence that this is entirely possible for me. You have helped me enormously.”
Questions people ask
- Will you tell me my symptoms are all in my head?
- No. New or changing symptoms belong with your GP. We work on the worry that keeps going after you have been checked.
- Can we work online?
- Yes. Online is often easier if leaving the house to talk about health already feels like a lot.
- How is this different from reassurance?
- Reassurance helps for a moment and then the question comes back. We work on the habit of needing that answer, not on supplying a better one.
