Help with fear of flying
If you dread a flight for weeks, grip the armrest, or simply do not book the trip, the problem is rarely the plane itself. It is the alarm that starts long before you reach the airport.

What it can feel like
- Dreading a trip for days or weeks beforehand
- White-knuckle flights, especially in turbulence
- Avoiding flying, or only flying if you have to
- A mind that rehearses the worst version of the journey
How I can help
We find what is driving the fear, which is often not the aircraft. Then we reduce it with NLP, eye-movement work and hypnotherapy. A recorded track for the journey itself can help. You do not need to go near a plane for the session. We can also work on the weeks of dread before the trip, not only the flight itself.
What sessions are like
Sessions are 90 unrushed minutes, at the home office in West Norwood (SW16, near Streatham, Tulse Hill and Dulwich) or online across the UK. A session is £135, or four for £395. A free 20-minute call comes first, and we review how things are moving as we go. How many sessions varies from person to person. Many people find one session is enough to make a real difference. Ideally book a few weeks before you travel, and we will agree what is realistic on the free call.
In clients’ own words
“After 10 years of suffering extreme anxiety when flying I visited Simon after a google search on the advice of a friend. In one 90 minute session with Simon my life has changed. I got to the core of my fear and unlocked a trauma that I wasn’t aware had impacted me so deeply. I fly frequently now with ease and have processed my phobia in a logical way that connected with me. I recommend Simon to anyone and everyone.”
“On the morning of the flight I felt a little nervous. Travelling to the airport I didn’t feel the usual anxiety — I felt quite calm. The flight out was significantly better; on the way home I even sat by the window, which I wouldn’t usually do, and I was asleep during landing. I can’t thank you enough.”
Questions people ask
- Do I need to go near a plane?
- No. The session is in West Norwood or online, not at an airport.
- Will I need to keep coming back?
- Not as a routine. We see what one piece of work changes, then decide together if anything else is useful.
- Can you help with turbulence specifically?
- Yes. Turbulence is one of the moments people rehearse in advance. We can work on that reaction directly.
